Jewellery Care
Dais Jewellery is designed to last and be worn day-to-day. With care these pieces can be lived in and loved for a long time.
⋆。°✩ Sterling Silver ✩°。⋆
925 silver will maintain itself over time however, long exposure to chemicals, air and excessive moisture over time can lead to tarnishing of the metal (oxidisation). However, this is not a permanent effect and can be reversed through cleaning the silver with a cotton cloth (oxidisation will come off as a black substance) and a silver jewellery polishing cloth which will return the shine to the jewellery. Storage in a soft pouch/box or airtight container will help prevent tarnishing and storing away from other objects/jewellery pieces that may scratch it will help protect the item.
⋆。°✩ Semi-Precious Stones ✩°。⋆
The harder the stone on the Mohs scale, the more durable they will be. Any stone >7 is hard to scratch (ie. with a steel tool or worse). Items such as pearls will need more care with removing from any situations where scratching may occur as they are soft.
