Dais Jewellery was started from a love of silversmithing and nature. I can never choose where I want to be between the sea and the mountains so have decided to explore both through my jewellery. I'm always trying to spend time outdoors and have taken up maybe too many hobbies trying to do that from skiing to sailing. I want to make jewellery for people like me who want some meaning in what they wear and to have jewellery that can come on adventures with me.
I hand-make one-of-a-kind pieces from what inspire me at the time, taking inspiration from nature and the outdoors. I like exploring new techniques and experimenting with my designs, creating minimalist lightweight jewellery that can keep up with you and feel comfortable for wherever you end up exploring. I use materials such as semi-precious stones and recycled silver where possible to maintain sustainability and quality in each piece.
I first started making jewellery with my nan as a kid and as I grew up became interested in the techniques of silversmithing. I love the uniqueness of each stone and the story behind each hand-crafted piece and I hope to create jewellery that can become a part of your story too.
I come from a science background, working in research as my 9-5 and started Dais Jewellery to keep up my passion and hopefully fund my learning in metalsmithing. One day, I aim to learn goldsmithing and I think I will have made it in life if I get to make a engagement ring. But I hope to keep going on new adventures and make some jewellery to go with them.
